ThriveDX, a global leader in cybersecurity and digital skills training, and NightDragon, a cybersecurity, safety, security, and privacy investment company, announced the release of the world’s first cyber talent hub. This hub will serve as a holistic ecosystem geared to attract, retain, foster, and constantly grow cyber talent. It will bring together educators and employers from commercial and governmental organizations.
A founding group of business partners, including Carahsoft, Exclusive Networks, Ingram Micro Inc., Jacobs, Kyndryl, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Mandiant, and Marsh, as well as educators from New York University, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, and University of Wisconsin are involved in the launch. These partners are dedicated to working together to close the cybersecurity talent gap and create a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
The annual Cyber Workforce Study from (ICS)2 estimated that there will be 2.7 million open posts in cybersecurity by 2021. Now, most businesses face a serious issue filling these positions as they struggle to find enough people to monitor and stop cyberattacks and develop new technology to counter the most recent threats. To close this gap, the Cyber Talent Hub will offer a steady stream of highly qualified individuals interested in profitable cybersecurity opportunities, who will then be matched with employer partners seeking to fill open positions.
ThriveDX is committed to fostering diversity in the workplace and facilitating generational impact. This is accomplished through creating and delivering cutting-edge content, pertinent training, and solutions to create the Cyber Talent Hub powered by ThriveDX.
“It takes a village to address an immense industry-wide challenge such as the cybersecurity skills gap. We are proud to lead the way in bringing together some of the industry’s most influential commercial, government and educational organizations to provide a clear path towards closing this gap and together set our industry up for a brighter, more secure future,” said Dave DeWalt, Founder and Managing Director, NightDragon.
