A VPN is an essential component of IT security, whether you’re just starting a business or are already up and running. Most business interactions and transactions happen online and VPN

SentryBay expands its Armored Client product line with a solution designed specifically to address the client-side security gaps of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 – all while leveraging the strengths of Intune.

Endpoint device users who connect to any virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) system are vulnerable to cybersecurity attacks, particularly keylogging and screen capture malware like AgentTesla. This updated version, termed Armored Client for AVD & W365, uses a VDI session security agent in conjunction with SentryBay’s patented EntryProtect technology to protect against even low-level keylogging attempts.

Dave Waterson, CEO at SentryBay commented, “The new Armored Client for AVD & W365 has been developed in consultation with Microsoft and is in response to the growth in BYOD/BYOPC within enterprises, and increased reliance on VDI and DaaS environments due to continued growth in remote working. Large companies have been using our Armored Client platform with great results for many years to protect their business data at the endpoint, but what is also needed now is a simply deployed product that suits the modern, hybrid workplace.

Microsoft VDIs are amongst the most popular solutions on the market and growing in market share, but, like other VDI or DaaS systems, they can put unmanaged endpoints at risk of intrusion from common, but dangerous malware, including exposure via Teams and other conferencing software. The new Armored Client uses the next generation of advanced anti-keylogging and screen capture technology to combat this.”

The agent utilizes Microsoft Intune UEM features to enforce the use of enterprise-grade security tools on each endpoint. This means that users enjoy seamless security, lowering the risk of a breach even through screen capture malware. An innovative whitelisting feature for web conferencing software like Microsoft Teams ensures complete session security without sacrificing user experience.

SentryBay’s product is aimed at information officers and security teams who use or administer Microsoft VDI solutions in a variety of industries, including insurance, finance, healthcare, and call centers. These industries will benefit the most from the Armored Client’s proven efficacy in meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.

Among its many benefits, the new Armored Client version is active from the moment a user logs into their device and requires no user interaction. Security teams can deploy it via Intune or other UEM platforms using a simple MSI file.
