NordVPN has released Threat Protection, integrated into the NordVPN app. This new feature offers complete protection against cyber threats by blocking trackers, criminal attempts to steal sensitive information, disruptive ads, malicious websites, and files infected with the virus.

Threat Protection reduces three main types of threats. This includes web crawlers and malicious ads, malicious websites, and files infected with the virus.

Web trackers and malicious ads. Fight trackers usually fall outside the VPN area, which is where Threat Protection starts. Threat Protection enhances the whole feeling of web privacy by blocking trackers completely. You can monitor and manage blocked trackers in real-time.

Harmful websites. Also, use Threat Protection while browsing the web to avoid malicious websites. Threat Protection displays a warning before loading the page. This allows you to opt-out of a site that is malicious and dangerous to steal sensitive information or to collect your personal data.

Infected files. Additionally, if you download a file online, Threat Protection can be the first line of defense. It will scan the malware and, if no threats are found, the file will be marked as secure without interruption. But if malicious software is detected, the file will be deleted before it can be damaged. You will also be able to access the log of scanned files available for viewing at any time.

Vykintas Maknickas, a product specialist at NordVPN said, “Threat Protection takes what used to be antivirus software and integrates it with NordVPN. No matter how much time you spend online, you may end up falling victim to some kind of malicious website or download. That’s why Treat Protection is introduced – adding a layer of security to make your internet browsing safer, cleaner, and more secure. ”
