Inspur Information and JD Cloud Launched Liquid-Cooled Server

Inspur Information and JD Cloud
A VPN is an essential component of IT security, whether you’re just starting a business or are already up and running. Most business interactions and transactions happen online and VPN

At the 2022 Inspur Partner Forum, a global leader in IT infrastructure solutions, Inspur Information and JD Cloud Launched Liquid-Cooled Server ORS3000S. Compared to standard air-cooled rack servers, the server uses cold-plate liquid cooling to cut data center power usage by 45 percent, making it a green solution with a low total cost of ownership (TCO).

The server, ORS3000S uses cold-plate liquid cooling technology to increase heat dissipation efficiency by 40%. It uses a centralized power supply with N+N redundancy that can meet the demands of the entire rack power supply and, thanks to power balance optimization, can operate at maximum efficiency during operation. When compared to a dispersed power source, this leads to a 10% boost in total efficiency. Pre-installation at the factory, combined with efficient operations and maintenance (O&M), enables 5–10x faster delivery and deployment. The ORS3000S has been widely installed in JD Cloud data centers, providing JD with processing power during significant shopping events. It improves performance by 34–56 percent while lowering power usage effectiveness (PUE), carbon emissions, and energy use.

Inspur Information and JD Cloud has constructed one of the world’s largest liquid-cooled data center production facilities, with an annual manufacturing capacity of 100,000 servers, all credits to its experience in the industrial application of liquid cooling. This includes a full-chain liquid-cooling smart manufacturing solution for mass manufacture of cold-plate liquid-cooled rack servers, which involves R&D, testing, and delivery. Cold-plate, heat-pipe, and immersion liquid-cooled products from Inspur Information have been widely used. Inspur also provides comprehensive liquid-cooled data center solutions, including primary and secondary liquid cooling circulation, as well as the coolant distribution unit (CDU).

This all-in-one solution allows for full-path liquid cooling circulation in data centers, with an overall PUE of less than 1.1. Inspur owns more than 100 core patents in the field of liquid cooling and has helped to develop technical standards and test criteria for cold-plate and immersion liquid-cooled data center systems. The company is devoted to leading the rapid development of the liquid cooling industry and the wide-scale deployment of breakthrough liquid cooling technologies, and it will do so in the future.
