A global professional services firm that specializes in digital, cloud, and security, Accenture acquires Trancom ITS has entered into a definitive agreement. Trancom ITS is a Japanese logistics technology service with engineering and operational technology capabilities.
Accenture’s Industry X service will be able to offer hyper-automation solutions at scale, which Japanese manufacturing and logistics companies are increasingly demanding to become more efficient and sustainable in their core operations. The collaboration terms are yet to be disclosed.
Tatsuya Nakayabu, senior managing director and lead for Accenture Industry X in Japan said, “We’re seeing significant demand from clients to help them automate manual processes in factories and warehouses. By combining assets from Trancom ITS with our AI and robotics capabilities, we can drive more value from these processes for clients and help them become more sustainable.”
Accenture acquires Trancom ITS, this collaboration has benefited both companies in several ways. Organizations can use hyper-automation solutions to quickly identify and automate a wide range of business processes and assets. The method is based on cutting-edge digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
Accenture and Trancom also intend to work together on other joint solutions to accelerate Trancom’s and its clients’ digital transformations in the logistics and manufacturing industries. Accenture’s acquisition of Trancom ITS capabilities will be the next significant step in strengthening its offering in Japan for digitizing the entire engineering and manufacturing value chain.
